Why we do what we do...

Understand why we fly

In Matthew 28:18-20, the Bible gives record of Jesus Christ commissioning His followers to "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."  This is why we fly; our motive is Jesus Christ and our message is His gift of eternal life for all who believe.  We would be amiss of an opportunity to reach someone reading through our website if we did not share God's plan of salvation with you.

  • We (all mankind) are sinners and stand guilty before a holy and just God

"As it is written, There is none righteous; no, not one"  -  Romans 3:10

"Wherefore as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned"  -  Romans 5:12

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all"  -  James 2:10

  • Because God is holy and just, He must punish us for our sins. The penalty is eternal separation from God.  No matter how hard we try or how many good things we do in life, we are unable on our own to earn our way into eternal favor with God.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"  -  Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"  -  Romans 6:23

  • Yet, God is also a God of love. In fact, He loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to the earth to pay our sin debt for us.  Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life (as He is God). He willingly gave up His life on the cross of Calvary, shedding His blood, and paying our sin debt in full.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"  -  John 3:16

"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"  -  Romans 5:8

"In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins"  -  Colossians 1:14

  • Three days after His death, Jesus rose from the dead by His own power, forever conquering sin and death.  He is alive today, ready and willing to give you His gift of eternal life. We owe a debt that we could never pay; yet, Christ has already paid it for us.  All we need to do is receive His gift of salvation.

"He is not here: for He is risen, as He said"  -  Matthew 28:6

"But these are written that ye might believe, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name"  -  John 20:31

  • The Bible tells us that if we simply confess our sin to God, believing in our heart that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, He will come into our heart and save us for all eternity.  It takes child-like faith to accept Him as your Savior.  Do you know Him as your personal Savior?  If not, would you believe on Him today and ask Him to save you?  Not only does He want to save you, but He will!

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"  -  Romans 10:9

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved"  -  Acts 16:31

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"  -  Romans 10:13
